Dr Michael Bray is a locally raised and trained Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist in Perth, Western Australia. He graduated from the University of Western Australia with honours in 1998 and became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians in 2007.

Dr Bray obtained GESA Colonoscopy Recertification 2019 and has achieved outstanding detection rates far exceeding the minimum standards and national averages in Australia.

  • Caecal intubation rate 99%, minimum standard 95%

Dr Bray is dedicated to raising awareness about the prevention and diagnosis of gastrointestinal diseases and is committed to delivering quality patient care and communication. 

Special interests in his field of expertise include Colorectal Cancer and screening, Coeliac Disease, Functional gastrointestinal diseases (Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Dyspepsia), Microscopic Colitis and Eosinophilic Oesophagitis. In addition, Dr Bray is able to manage General Hepatology concerns including Raised liver enzymes, Fatty liver disease and Hepatitis C treatment as well as all General Gastroenterology concerns including Inflammatory bowel disease.

Michael lives locally in the Western suburbs and is married with 2 young boys. He enjoys playing and coaching basketball, snowboarding and the beach.
